The Kelley Farm of today comes alive with programs taught by trained and experienced staff. Dressed in period clothing, staff members perform daily farm activities of rural life between 1850 and 1876 and teach students about old-time agriculture.
Become involved in the living history farm work and play that was part of the lives of Oliver H. Kelley’s family and other farmers in the mid-19th-century Minnesota.
Tour the grounds of this working farm. Talk with–and sometimes lend a hand to–the farm staff as they work at their domestic and farm chores.
Enter the buildings, feel and smell the past. Groomed nature trail lead you through the woodlands along the banks of the Mississippi River and across prairies where you’ll learn more about what the land was like when farmers first settled here.
